Tutor: Robyn Toohey

Robyn has been designing and selling millinery style hats for 14 years and has a Certificate 3 in Millinery.  She has attended three International Millinery Forums in Wagga Wagga and attended workshops with well known International and Australian milliners.  Studying with milliners working in the industry gave her the opportunity to use fashionable millinery fabrics and to learn many new techniques.  Robyn designs bespoke millinery hats for the spring/summer fashion season, formal and special occasion wedding/bridal fashion and race wear. One of her millinery designs won Fashions on the Field at Queanbeyan Races and another hat was a finalist in the Black Opal Fashions on the Field.

Robyn joined the Canberra Region Feltmakers (CRF) in 2011 as she wanted to make her own felt hoods which gave her flexibility over the fleece, colour and design. She has attended many felting workshops, learning new techniques with both International and local tutors and is experienced at felting with either merino or alpaca fleece.
