SATURDAY MEMBERS MEETING  

What's happening at this meeting for members:

Meeting activity: Felt Fish and Gentle Roller

We will be making 2D felt fish to decorate the Felt area at the Canberra Show. Fish patterns will be provided. The fish will be attached to the CRF felt poles to be hung as part of the display, in keeping with the theme 'Under the Sea'. 

We will have a demonstration of how to use the Gentle Roller (in the container) to make felt.  We will use the drum to felt pieces (similar to what the dryer does). There will be discussion on using it to make yardage as well. See Using the Gentle Roller on YouTube.

What to bring: 

• Felt scraps to create the flat fish, around 15cm.
• To make felt in Gentle Roller - wool top, two pieces of thin plastic sheet a bit bigger than felt layout, small towel or tea towel and some ties or elastic bands. You could also use prefelt that you have prepared at home.

Trading Table

Bring any items you don't want any more for the trading table and help raise funds for CRF. Remember to bring some cash to buy.
