These works were made by feltmakers from all over the world who took part in our 2022 Canfelt Along Celebration.

A series of short videos demonstrating a range of different techniques were created for participants. These celebratory wreaths and table decorations are a result of their learning and experimentation. They were exhibited in our virtual and real exhibitions in November 2022.

Over the course of four weeks, 152 feltmakers from across the world participated in Canfelt Along For Convergence. Using a series of online tutorials created by Canberra Region Feltmakers and guest presenters, they discovered new techniques and approaches for making hand-felted jewellery.

This virtual exhibition was a collection of photos supplied by participants of some of the wild and wacky Canfelt Along creations.

We began our inaugural Mystery Canfelt Along in early 2021 during the Covid 19 epidemic. Participants followed instructions each week without knowing what they were making until the end. The lockdown ended just in time for us to have a gallery exhibition, Felt Mysterious, of the work made by our members. For many of the participants, this was the first time that we saw what others had made.

In this video you will catch a glimpse of some of the felted nuno scarves that were in the exhibition.

Something Quirky This Way Comes was a collaborative photographic and video exhibition presented by Canberra Region Feltmakers (CRF) starring hand-felted finger puppets. This event took place during the Covid 19 epidemic in 2020 when we were in lockdown across the world.

CRF members crafted felted finger puppets that were brought to life to reveal their true personalities. Many thanks to the multi-talented creative people from Canberra, the region and beyond (as far away as Newcastle NSW, Melbourne, Los Angeles and New York) for their time and inspiration in creating a varied range of video responses featuring the finger puppets.

    Here are two promotional videos

The puppets may look like they have been made for children, but not all of these videos are suitable for children. If you are planning on showing any of these videos to young folk, please preview the list and construct your own playlist of titles that you are happy to share with them.
