WORKSHOP
This is a follow up to the Appliqué workshop, where you will appliqué your felt to your purchased garment. The additional materials and equipment list will follow.
OUR TUTOR
Chris White has a background in garment design and custom manufacturing in her small business. Follow her passion in this workshop, making cut-away felts to create new appliqué embellishments which can be added to existing stretch garments. This method can be extended to making borders, scarves, jewellery and trims.

Workshop level:
From advanced beginner. You should have done a beginners workshop before registering for this one.
Materials and equipment list
Sewing machine in good working order.
Small extension cord and power board if possible.
Sewing box, including sharp scissors, large and small.
Top stitch/metallic machine needles if possible.
Free machine foot if you have one.
Sewing thread to match your item plus contrasting threads for topstitching. Christine will bring some threads to try.
Handstitching thread and needles if you would like to add features. Chris will have some thread also.
Please come early to set up the machines, 9.15 would be good.
COVID plan: CRF has a COVID plan in place at the venue. If we are unable to run a face to face class due to sudden COVID lockdown, participants will be offered the alternative of an online workshop using Zoom.
