 WORKSHOP

Felt Adorned : Jewellery (and Sculpture) on a Precious Scale

This 2 day workshop is all about making felt on a precious scale!  Learn a variety of innovative techniques to make uniquely shaped components suitable for jewellery, small sculptural works, embellishments and more.

Make ingenious beads (aptly named Scrunch, Spike, Dotty, Fangs, ColorCuts, and Twirls), cords and chains, sculptural closures. We will use fine merino wool and incorporate a range of novelty fibres, sumptuous silks and fabrics, wire and tubing, and recycled materials, to create felt components for one-of-a-kind pendants, brooches, necklaces, earrings, bangles, 3D sculptural forms and more, more, more…

The motto of the workshop is: ‘anything is possible’; the focus is on ‘quality in creativity’. This is a hands-on workshop with in-depth demonstrations, attention to detail and lots of 'play time'.

Whether you are interested in jewellery, sculpture, embellishments or mixed media, this workshop will provide much inspiration and technical ‘know-how’, resulting in inspired creations finished to a high standard.

All levels of experience welcome.
